Billing demand is the average demand in kilowatts for the 30 minutes of greatest power use during the month, adjusted for power factor as provided below, but not less than 100% of the billing demand in the latest month in which the Cooperative established a new wholesale demand, or any higher minimum billing demand specified by contract.

The consumer will maintain as newarly unity power factor as practicable. The billing demand will be increased one percent for each percentage point by which the average power factor is less than 90%.
